ARIZONA

mai 7, 2018

We left Coachella and Palm Springs and went on a road trip of 3 days in Arizona. It’s a U.S. state in the southwestern region of the United States. It is also part of the Western and the Mountain states. It is the sixth largest and the 14th most populous of the 50 states. Its capital and largest city is Phoenix.

If you want to explore this state make sure to be prepare to drive a lot, we drove almost 18 hours in only 3 days for doing the 4 things we really wanted to discover.

. Route 66

This route became one of the most famous roads in the United States and in the world, originally ran from Chicago, Illinois, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona before ending at Santa Monica, California, covering a total of 2,448 miles (3,940 km). There are so many cute cities along the road where you can stop and enjoy the old American vintage style and have some coffee or burgers. I swear you’ll believe you’re like in a movie.

. Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in Arizona. It is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,093 feet or 1,857 meters). This is one of the most impressive thing done my mother nature that I’ve ever seen in my entire life. You feel so small and free in front of this amazing landscape.

We stayed at the Grand Canyon Hotel Plaza.

. Horseshoe bend

Horseshoe bend is a horseshoe-shaped incised meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page. The point of view is accessible via hiking from a parking and it took us only 15 minutes to get there, it was so easy, we saw old ladies and kids doing it with no problems.

. Monument Valley

The Monument Valley is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone buttes, the largest reaching 1,000 ft (300 m) above the valley floor. It’s located on the Arizona–Utah border . The valley lies within the territory of the Navajo Nation Reservation.

Monument Valley has been featured in many forms of media since the 1930s. We felt like going back in time in the old American West, I personally felt like I was in Westworld, I almost expected to find some cute robots in town dressed like sherifs and cowboys haha (if you don’t watch this TV show, please do yourself a favor and start it right now).

We stayed at the Goulding Lodge in cute little villas with a wonderful view.

Pouvoir s’arrêter dans ces cafés qui bordent la route pour un milkshake…je peux comprendre que l’on se croit dans un film !
Tes photos au grand Canyon sont phénoménales, et je suppose que c’est encore plus beau en vrai.
